Plagiarism Policy
Nusantara Public Health Journal (NPHJ) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. All submitted manuscripts must be original works and free from plagiarism.
Each manuscript submitted to NPHJ will be screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin or similar tools) to assess the level of similarity. The acceptable similarity index is a maximum of 20%, excluding references, quotations, and properly cited materials. Manuscripts identified with a high level of similarity or evidence of plagiarism will be handled as follows:
- Similarity above the acceptable threshold: The manuscript will be returned to the author for revision or may be rejected.
- Confirmed plagiarism (including self-plagiarism, duplication, or data fabrication): The manuscript will be rejected immediately.
- Post-publication plagiarism detection: If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the article may be retracted in accordance with the journal’s retraction policy.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that all sources are properly cited and that the manuscript does not infringe on any intellectual property rights. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. NPHJ adheres to ethical publishing standards and takes all cases of plagiarism seriously to ensure the quality and credibility of published research.
